A Non-profit Organization that wants to promote youth in agriculture, through beef heifer production.
We offer the opportunity to participate and catch at our calf scramble, which is held during the Wise County Youth Rodeo. Those who catch will be sponsored in a beef heifer project, which they bring back the following year to show at the Wise County Youth Fair.
how we started
Our Co-founder and current president Sequoia Smith had the idea in high school, after participating in the Houston & Fort Worth Calf Scrambles. Nothing came of the idea until Sequoia and our other Co-founder Steve Bradshaw had a conversation about this long pondered event. With Steve’s knowledge, Sequoia’s idea, and some funding from Russell Feed, the ball got rolling.
With a lot of time and effort we hosted the first annual Wise County Calf Scramble at the Youth Rodeo in 2024. With a total of 24 participants, and 14 sponsors. We had our first Scramble Show at the Wise County Youth Fair in 2025 where we awarded a Grand and Reserve Champion Scramble Heifer. This year 2026 we are excited to host our 3rd annual scramble at the Wise County Youth Rodeo, and our 2nd Annual Show during the Wise County Youth Fair.
